The Old Silk Road

The Old Silk Road is neither a road nor a route.

it is so old.

This was used by traders of the Han dynasty of China.

German Geographers used this Silk Road in 1877 C.E

This term is also used as a metaphor of exchange of goods.

It has many routes

taken by a traders.

It extended 4000 miles,

Passing through many landscapes.

Cutting across The Gobi Desert

and the Pamir mountains.

Today the roads are in a poor condition.

Traders with animals, merchants carrying silk from China,

Stone, tea, spices, goods,

They were all carried on this road.

This historical silk route should,

not be forgotten.

It is a gift from the past,

our Identity as well as our history.

We love this road,

which tells many stories

It is immortal in our memory which is strong and powerful,

We should conserve and promote,

The Old Silk Road is in our souls.
