Waheeda Hussain

From China to India

A Chinese monk named Fa-Hsien

With quest for qujing and thirst for unknown

Embarked on a journey

On foot san bag and baggage.

Trial and tribulations

Became his destiny

Venomous dragons and stormy sands awaited him.

But Braveheart was he and he did not tarry.

He crossed the streams

And climbed the onion mountains

He reached the land

Where lie scattered and cursed dry bones of dead.

His spirit ferocious and stronger

Then snow-clad mountains

Forced monasteries and kingdoms

To welcome him with open arms.

He proffered what he had.

And received what he pursued

This simple monk trailed his passion

And paved the way for the world to follow.
