Winter Calls

The autumn bids us farewell, the winter arrives in.

We welcome the new season that ushers in.

This is the season of abundance and prosperity,

The mellowed sun rays.

Fields overflown by the smell of new born crops.

Fruits and flowers blossoming every where.

How splendid does its exuberance feel

in one corner of my heart somewhere.

The plunging temperatures during wintry days and

nights,

Sets us on a roller coaster ride.

The blankets and the woollens cry out from the

almirah shelves.

We wear it like an ornament around us.

Delving deep down under it the sound of the

Christmas bells excites us,

It’s time for the Santa to come with gifts and

goodies for the little ones.

After Santa’s happy departure,

The moment has come to greet and wish everyone

a Happy New Year.

Having lots of new hopes and aspirations

Let us flourish and prosper without any fear.
