What’s unsaid speaks volumes

Their eyes met across the table. She took in his chiselled face, his salt-and-pepper hair and felt a flush creep up on her cheek. He noticed her azure eyes, her flushed appearance and took in a sharp intake of breath.

There seemed to be no awkwardness, considering they were meeting here based on a couple of interactions on a dating app. They were total strangers and yet, something felt familiar.

He knew he wanted to meet her again. He didn’t tell her, however, that he was still married. She didn’t bring up the fact that she was a single mom…
