The Open Secret of my Confession

Everyone knows, that no one, no one in their right mind

No one, loving and caring and sensitive

Ever gets so hungry, so desperate, so alone

So lonely in a wedlock, as to walk in the open arms

Of a seducing charmer! Though it’s a pretty trying situation

Of balancing, rather responding, to a tug of war

Between a sulking husband, sulking for god knows what reason

Or reasons, and for whatever reason, or reasons, was the sulking

God knows why, and the Devil knows how, sulking for so long

In a manner so bizarre! But, the trying situation, not in terms of control

But comprehension, logic, tolerance and finally, endurance

Of one’s life, being controlled, would result in such a rebellion

Of ego, before a husband, demanding to be pleased

Refusing all approaches, caresses, points of reconciliation

Proposed in a friendly, wifely manner

Sometimes, is a surprise even to the decision maker!

The reason remains a secret too

For the rebel and the world

Pouncing upon to judge!

Forever, presenting a question !

No, it wasn’t the temptation

Of a delicious fruit

Nor was it unbearable anger

Was it something in the spur of the moment

Continues a pathological examination

As the trial simply intensifies and perpetuates

About adultery in a foreign country

Involving different nationality

Arguments complicate as another man

Simply walks in, asking the question

And can you resist me?

But dear friends, there isn’t a law

Preventing a married woman

From meeting another man

And starting anew?

Is that too, manipulated against

The second sex?
