On a regular day on my morning walk,
I decided to stroll into a mysterious path!
A path seemingly intriguing yet lesser known,
Between the explorer in me and my comfort zone,
Yearning for a little mystery, I was torn!
Turning into luscious green grass, was the rocky terrain,
Butterflies spreading their wings to reveal rainbows within!
The Gulmohar trees were as high as historical towers,
The Laburnum trees sprinkled upon me their flowers,
Their flowers rolled out for me a red and yellow carpet,
The seven sisters greeted me with a melodious trumpet!
The shrubs turned into daises, roses and orchids so many,
The sunflowers smiling at the rising sun, beaming fully!
The chirping squirrels seemed to have woken up early,
The doves flying in the blue sky, a picturesque so holy!
The woman in me whose depth surfaced in May,
The dreamer in me was magically as bright as ray,
The artist in me with the color palate had gone astray,
The wrier in me with verses was diligently at play!
I marvelled at this mystery and magic of nature,
The inexplicable emotional connect with our Creator!

Divya Johar is a Post Graduate from the prestigious NIFT, National Institute of Fashion Technology, affiliated to FIT, New York. A topper during her graduation in Advertising, Marketing, Pyschology, Sociology, with a diploma in Commercial Arts, Divya has worked for buying offices in India and London. She was also an expert faculty and a jury member at her alma mater NIFT and a visiting faculty at IIPM.
Divya attributes her inspiration to her son. Divyas poems have been published in the books- Anthologies: EARTH, FIRE, WATER WIND, PIXIE DUST AND ALL THINGS MAGICAL and in E-zines SARASWATI- A LITERARY AND ART E-ZINE, ANCIENT MYTHOLOGY, SUBMISSIONS AND OMMISSIONS..
