Mystery All
Pinprick lights, diamond sharp,
Orion the hunter, Ursa the bear,
chasing thru’ deep velvet sky.
guiding travellers, onward bound.
Soaring mountains, jagged steep,
Wind battered, rain-soaked scree.
Rock expelled from deep below,
home of goat and winter hare.
Waves surge, restless energy,
Constant ebb and flow. Fish dart.
Seaweed sways, dolphins frolic.
Worlds unseen, depths unknown.
Body and mind synchronise.
Blood floods, heart pumps,
neurons leap, electrons charge.
Sight, sound, movement all.
Gaseous flares light our world.
Ammonite fossils perch on hills.
Marine life lies beyond our ken,
Living bodies beat so strong.
How can this be?
Where is it from?
Where will it flow?
Where will it end?
… ‘tis Mystery all.
