Independent to Dependent

What if an essential part of being,

The ability to not depend upon another for

Your own mental needs, was suddenly taken away?

What if the ability to act or change without constraint,

Was removed.

What if the Freedom to do what you want to do,

Was suddenly taken away?

What if the “Freedom to be,”

Was suddenly taken away?

Where would you be?

You would be dependent.

Dependent upon someone else’s assistance and financial support.

Dependent on the whims of others' help.

Dependent on waiting, waiting, and waiting.

From independent to dependent necessitates a strong will and patience.

From independent to dependent

equires believing in yourself.

From independent to dependent one must have empathy and offer gratitude.

Independence

Freedom

Empathy

Gratitude

What if this is asking too much?
