Once upon a long time ago, two people attended a Fancy Dress Party as gorillas.
Both donned facial masks and the taller, slimmer male wore a sparkly long evening dress, plus extra long gloves, and long hair wig; while shorter lady wore a man's suit, black, leather-look-man-gloves, and a curly wig. Naturally, voices were heightened or deepened, as befitted the outfits.
Unsurprisingly, these wannabe-primates won first prize, even though it was generally admitted, the pair were almost frightening in their 'unreal' reality.
It was only after final judging the truth was revealed and appreciated.
We were SO young!
