‘Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls;
All your waves and breakers have swept over me.’- Sons of Korah
Diving deep
Past numerous thunderous thrashes on the surface
Only in the paradox of striving rest
Will you find the courage to dive...
Till you find a sea beneath the sea
A world of calm and quiet assurance
Diving deep
Past tumultuous thoughts that never settle
In coherent sentences
Tossed to and fro among frothy waves
Of doubts and nebulous concepts
Infantile thoughts dashed to pieces on the shoreline rocks
Diving deep
Till I reach that sea beneath the sea
That world beyond the world of words
Where, like a pearl gone through transformation
I can only repose in the encasement
With the Pearl of great price.
