My mind battles with pain ….
My thoughts bid pain a welcome,
Pain proves I am still alive.
My mind controls my heart ….
My hearts bids love a welcome,
Love proves I am still feeling.
My mind wrestles with words ….
My thoughts bid words a welcome,
Words proves I am still lucid.
My mind struggles with control ….
My thoughts deny control an entry,
Control proves I am still strong.
My body encounters disability ….
My thoughts bid disability unwelcome,
Disability proves I am still unbroken.
So many conflicts within my mind,
Far too many to mention and hide.
Each fresh day I do somehow find
Renewed courage to open my mind
And banish the presence of demons.
