Giving birth to life

Satayajit Mukharjee

Hemant raced towards Canning Nursing Home, two urgent call

Made him more impatient.

He was tense; Childlessness was the cause of Harimoti’s ailments.

They were married now seven years.

Doctor Mrinal diagnosed it as hypochondria.

A top visiting Gynaecologist promised them a child through

Artificial insemination.

Harimoti conceived and

Had to admitted early for a C-section.

Seeing a road block ahead Hemant

Parked his car and started running,

en-route he passed an agitating crowd,

Heard

Voices.

The nameless homeless footpath dweller had

Birthed beside the busy road.

A cry and life’s journey had begun!

An auspices cry.

Hemant ran faster.

BIO

As Satyajit Mukharjee, I have nothing to say as such.

I love to roam, travel cycle, trek. Nature lives inside me. I draw, I paint, I write.

Though I try to focus big, but my frame is so small. Fifty years of practicing spiritual drawing, that has given joy of achievement through SVD (Sree Vidya process of Drawing), namely – hymns of Ishaponishada, Shiva-mahimna Stotram, Gita -Purushottom Yoga (published).

At present, working on drawings of all 700 hymns of the Gita.

Once upon a time not long ago I was a librarian.
